This article will outline the processes involved to Federate with other users on Lync
- Depending on the other User’s Lync provider will alter the method used to Federate.
Users within your Corporation/Other users who use us as a provider.
2. After the contact has been located, they will appear as a search result in your contact list. You will need to right click on the contact and select the option to save to your contacts. Your partner should do the same so that they can easily access your contact and see your presence.
Users outside of your Corporation/Other users who do not use us as a provider.
2. If you do not receive a search result it is safe to assume that your partner is not within your organisation or utilising us as a provider. In this instance you will need to lodge a ticket with support providing the email address of your partner. We will then manually Federate on your behalf. You will also need to get your partner to do the same with their provider.
